‘The Shape of Love - A Poem For James'
By Claire Beauchamp-Ward
The ones we love shape who we are.
And how we loved you, our funny friend,
Who led the dance until the end.
You made us laugh in happy times.
The golden years spent in the sun,
In photographs forever young.
You made us cry when the clouds rolled in.
Desperate words spinning sleepless fears,
Impossible to reach you through the tears.
So, we will weep and we will mourn
Then turn our faces to the dawn.
For though we will miss your warm embrace,
We have each other and stand here strong,
In hope & love, where we belong.
And don’t ‘Stop The Clocks’.
Keep those good times going.
For when we’ll meet again, there is no knowing.
Larger than life and twice as loud.
You filled the room.
You raised the crowd.
Your story will go on (& on & on & on).
We will hear you in the music, the laughter and the song.
For you have stamped our hearts with friendship true.
In the shape of love.
In the shape of you.

‘See You In Our Dreams’
Written and played by Dan Farrant
Under this roof we gather
To let you go
You brought us back together
One last chance to steal the show
You drew us in with love
Like moths to your naked flame
Somehow this road we travel
Will never be the same again
And I wanna believe you’re in a better place
With no more tears and no more pain
I hope we see you in our dreams tonight
Where you can make us laugh again
Where you can make us laugh again
Hidden diamonds from the rocks can burst
Become the centre of the universe
The brightest star to shine down from the skies
So much more fragile than we’d ever know
Cos if we did then we’d of never ever let you go
We’ll always hold you close
And I do believe you’re in a better place
With no more tears and no more pain
I hope to see you in our dreams tonight
Where you can make us laugh again
Where you can make us laugh again
Oh James
Come back and make us laugh again
Committal
Farewell, with our love
